Francis Njiraini’s Cancer Memoir Hits #1 Bestseller on Amazon

Published

on

Kenyan technology executive Francis Njiraini on Friday, February 6, 2026 launched his debut memoir, One Christian Man’s Journey to Beat Cancer, a reflective account of his fight with aggressive cancer and the lessons that carried him through treatment and recovery. The book, unveiled at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi brought together family, friends and readers drawn to its central message of hope.

First published on Amazon on January 8, 2026, One Christian Man’s Journey to Beat Cancer quickly gained traction, reaching number one on Amazon Kindle across the Cancer, Christian Living and Inspirational Memoirs categories. The book was also featured in Amazon’s Global Sales Promotion from February 3 to February 7, making it accessible to a wider global audience.

The Nairobi launch marked the book’s first official physical unveiling, following its strong digital performance. A virtual audience joined the event from different parts of the world, underscoring the broad interest Njiraini’s story has attracted.

According Njiraini, the book was born out of a desire to document his journey for his family and future generations, offering a truthful record of how faith, clarity and support shaped his path through illness. The memoir is anchored on The 7 Priceless Gifts, a theme that guided both the book and the launch event.

“Finance taught me about risk. Tech taught me about innovation. Cancer taught me about faith,” Njiraini said, reflecting on how the experience reshaped his outlook on life, values and purpose.

The memoir began as personal journal entries written during and after treatment. Njiraini explained that while the habit of journaling started early, the decision to turn the notes into a book came nearly a year after completing treatment, when he felt mentally and spiritually ready to share the story.

“My family gave me hope and something to look forward to even as I received treatment in India,” he said adding that their presence gave him hope and something meaningful to hold on to even in moments of uncertainty.

A director at SEIDOR, a global SAP Platinum Partner, Njiraini built his career across finance and technology leadership before his cancer diagnosis forced a pause and a deeper examination of life beyond professional success. The memoir traces that shift, moving from boardroom achievements to personal reckoning, faith and resilience.

Beyond recounting his medical journey, Njiraini expressed hope that each reader would identify with at least one of the seven gifts and act on it, whether in their personal life, relationships or career. He also said the book encourages individuals to confront challenges with courage and to live intentionally.

Through its focus on faith, family and purpose, Njiraini’s memoir offers more than a personal testimony, presenting a grounded reflection on resilience and the quiet lessons that emerge when life takes an unexpected turn.
